I figured that that might be some other factor in here, such as what I suggested with going an inch larger width in front and 2 inches in the rear in combination with the diameter increase. Whatever it was, I definitely was not looking for a comfortable ride with my wheel upgrade (in fact I was expecting the opposite), it just was a side effect. I do understand the low profile tirecomment, however I also know that the complicated suspension geometry is not as simple as that. Diameter in combination with differing widths can produce a variety of differences among perceived softness. I wish I knew more about suspension geometry to speak more intelligently about it.
